Boredom Busters is officially bi-coastal! Board of Directors member, Steph Wells, is currently living in San Diego and just hosted the first Boredom Busters West Coast High Five Program event. The High Five Program is aimed towards donating small boxes of toys to pediatric patients. Over 20 volunteers came out to help decorate 140 boxes of toys and then stuffed them full of goodies! Each box included a coloring book, activity book, deck of playing cards, animal action figure, paddleball game, slinky, toy car, a pencil and some erasers. Boredom Busters will be donating the boxes of toys to Rady’s Children’s Hospital which is the only children’s hospital in San Diego and serves children from Southern California and surrounding states. Rady’s Children’s Hospital emergency department serves 75,000 children in a year and the hospital serves over 200,000 children.
